I am often amazed how lacking today's service industry is of real customer service and commitment to quality. We live in such a fast-paced, immediate-gratification lifestyle that it is easy to let the fine art of hospitality slide.
Not so at LongHorn Steakhouse, 74th and Dodge Streets. The Omaha Parks Foundation held its annual "Pancakes for the Parks: breakfast there recently. LongHorn stepped up to help provide food and remarkable service to over 400 people. We are grateful to the manager, the staff and the many volunteers who made what could have been a logistically chaotic event full of holiday cheer and support for some of our city's best assets - its parks.
